A man wanted on a warrant tried to run from Columbus police last night, according to police reports.

Officers say that they recognized 27 year old Steven J. Richcreek walking in the 800 block of Wilson Street at about 8:35 Monday night and confirmed that he was wanted on a warrant from Bartholomew County Superior Court II. But when police tried to talk to Richcreek, he allegedly took off.

Police caught him near 9th and California streets. In addition to the warrant, he is now facing an additional charge of resisting law enforcement.
