Seymour Oktoberfest is underway downtown.

This is the 45th annual celebration and runs from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. through tomorrow. Organizers say that a beer garden will be open on West Second Street. In addition there there are food and craft vendors, carnival rides, music, contests and more.

Tonight’s events include a hot-air balloon glow from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the corner of West Fifth Street and North Walnut Street. Tomorrow’s events include a 5k walk/run in the morning and a hot air balloon race in the afternoon.
