The community is mourning the loss of Republic columnist and former associate editor Harry McCawley today.

Visitation for the long-time community journalist will be this afternoon at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street. McCawley passed away last week at the age of 77 after a battle with cancer.

Today’s visitation will be from 2 to 8 at the funeral home. His memorial service will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. at North Christian Church. Visitation will be from noon until the services Saturday at the church.
