Jennings County authorities say they arrested a driver who refused to pull over for police. And he allegedly told officers he didn’t think he had to stop.

The incident happened at about 4:40 a.m.  in the morning on Wednesday when a deputy tried to stop the vehicle near State Road 750 and U.S. 50 for a traffic violation, but instead, the driver continued driving. Eventually the driver, Jean B. Oriol of Houston, Texas, stopped in Jackson County at Mutton Creek. Oriol allegedly told police that he didn’t think he had to stop, if he didn’t want to.

Oriol is facing a charge of resisting law enforcement by fleeing.
