The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department arrested two people yesterday morning accused of stealing metal items from a farm.

A witness called in the report of two men stealing from the farm on County Road 650N and provided police with a good description of the suspects’ vehicle.

Deputies found the vehicle, which had broken down on Stone Court. The suspects had run away, but were soon located behind the Red Roof Inn on U.S. 31.

40 year old George J. Reese and 24-year-old Adam N. Gaskins, both from the Taylorville area, are facing preliminary charges of theft and receiving stolen property.
