You have a chance today to weigh in on what should happen with Anderson Falls, a park on the eastern side of Bartholomew County near Hartsville. That will be at an open house this afternoon.

Kris Medic with the Purdue Extension office in Bartholomew County says that the planning for the park’s future falls under a Purdue Extension Program called Enhancing the Value of Public Spaces.

Medic says that the process has included workshops and surveys to gather public input.

The suggested goals will be passed to the County Parks Board for consideration.

The park along Clifty Creek includes the waterfalls and a 44-acre state nature preserve. The beautiful natural area been hit hard in recent years, Medic said.

She said it is an outstanding natural feature in the county.

The open house will be from 3 to 4 p.m. today at the County Commissioners Chambers in the Governmental Office Building in downtown Columbus. That is at 440 Third Street.
